How rapidly would it hasten the millenium if
this sentiment were acted upon by the very [rich?].

It must be a source of infinite comfort
to you, dear Mrs Stanford, to have been
the co-worker of so great and noble a
soul as it must also be to feel that you
are spared to still further carry out
the phalanthropic work your loving
hands laid out.

You may feel assured that thousands who
have never known you or your dear husband
personally have yet given you their prayers &
blessings & have claimed you as friend
because you have been the friends of
mankind.

I have not the right to obtrude upon y
the sacredness of your mourning but as
one of many of those who have known your
lives & have watched the unfolding of your
plans from afar, I beg to extend my
poor tribute to your deceased husband's
memory & to speak a consoling word to
you.

Very sincerely your friend
A. P. Chipman
