So Framingham
June 22 1893

Madam, as I read the
Paper, and to day of the
Senator Mr Stanford, I thought
of another Widdow [sic] like my
self, and a moment later I thoug-
ht it is my duty to simpathiz[e] [sic]
with that ladie, [sic] and I tried
to drive that thought
out of my Mind. But as I
laid down to sleep at Night
god spoke to me saying
wright [sic] to her and I now take
the liberty to do so I hope
you will excuse me Dear
Ladie for so doing But only

it is very sad But Just
think if you were in my
Place how Much worse you
Might be. if it wozent [sic] for
a few Neighbors that came
in to comfort me, I should
go Crazy. I do think I can do
nothing But Pray to god to
Help me and I know he will
not forsake me I am all alone
I have No Relatives here. they
are all away off in york State
and Poor like myself so
that is not very encouraging
