I have so recently
lost my own dear
husband, that I know
well all your anguish.

empty words seem,

that God has forsaken

fifty-fourth chapter of
Isaiah, beginning with
the fourth verse, it will
bring you peace.

I am trying to rely
upon God's blessed prom-
ises to the widow and
orphans, and through
them to bring up my

ble manhood, and hope
