Mr. W. D. J. Hambly,
Secretary Santa Clara Co. Soc. Cal. Pioneers,
74 South 5th St., San Jose, Cal.
Dear Sir:
Your note to Mr. Chas. G. Lathrop, informing him
of the appointment of a Committee to represent your society
at the funeral services of the late Mrs. Stanford, has been
referred to me. In reply I wish to say that five seats will
be reserved for the gentlemen designated by you. You will
please instruct them to report their presence on the Campus
at Room 55 of the Inner Quadrangle just East of the Church,
before 1 o'clock on the day of the funeral. In regard to the
expected large individual attendance from your membership,
I can only say that the capacity of the Church will not make
it possible for us to see that they are provided with seats.
They may, however, find a due place or two to take some part
in the service in the open air.
Very truly yours,
Chairman of Committee.
