Dear Mrs. Lathrop.

The two descriptions
enclosed refer to the
white feather piece we
brought from Hawaii.

The two "Kahelis"
should be tied together
like this-

I placed the purple gauze
ribbon with which they
were tied, into the box.
We considered they would
keep better to be untied
and protected in a box.

These are sad days.
