The two white feather
"Kahelis" are mourning
badges used formerly
by the natives of Hawaii
only in honor of the
death of members of the
Royal family, but since
the change in their form
of Government, also in
honor of the death of other
high dignitaries.

These "Kahelis" were
presented by Mrs. Wm
Mutch in behalf of the
native women of Hawaii
who considered Mrs
Stanford royal
