I think if Uncle Leland
was watching his
devoted Wife, that
he was pleased that
you were so thought-
ful, for his niece
and I assure you,
dear Aunt Jennie,
that both I and my
husband appreciatid
your letter. Last night
Sperry, my husband,
brought me the
"Review of Reviews" for
August, in which

was a splendid article
about Uncle Leland &
his life, and grand
and great works.
There were also pictures
of you and of your
home, and the Leland
Stanford Jr. University
and after dinner we
sat down, and Sperry
read the article to
me. I was so interested
for it gave me a much
better idea of the
splendid work which
you both have done.
