vividly photographed, on my
memory - my experience as I
stood under one of these trees
I think I told about to you, if
I did not I will if we ever meet
again. Thank you my dear friend
to the revival of these memories.
I hope you received my letter
telling you how I tried to prevail
upon dear Mrs Newman not to go
to you until you answered her
cable. We were all very anxious for
her, I hope you have engaged
her coming as much as she, the dear
little woman anticipated meeting
you. I have not much news to tell you.
However all important news you get
from the papers, General F. D. Grant
has arrived, his family are well &
happy - Vivian my grand daughter
is to be
