Western Hemispheres, from
A Stephen Girard, down to A
Leland Stanford. My memory
for 70 years warrants me in
saying the World has never
met so great a loss, as the death
of Leland Stanford has caused,
yet the two glorified spirits,
who now see clearly, that their
loved one has wonderful
executive talent, and will
superintend, and well carry
out their wishes in the care
and continuance of doing
all the good she can with
their Herculean Estate.
