It's part of a two room double (the only such animal in the house). I didn't get my name drawn of course, my roommate did and I got in with her, but I'm not complaining. It's not in the main house, but it's next to the best showers and far away from the noisy stairwell of this quarter. You can't see out my window (without a chair at best), but I have a fireplace that works (keep it under your hat, we aren't supposed to use them -- no hat? how about under your sock? It's spring? well how about under your books? it'll get old and musty or else anyone who tries to find it will get a [hermo?] Sound good? ok. Then we canbe movin' right along in search of good times and good food, with good friends we can't [lose?]...sorry, a little Fozzie Bear digression there -- Patriotism swells in the heart of America bear and all that -- I'll try to get a hold of myself now (sorry, old vaudeville routine, I couldn't resist actually getting ahold of myself). This is what you get when you're this tired I guess after the boat last night with the nice porter who kept trying to give us a berth, but didn't have two and just kept trying to help, and continually waking us up from the not very sound sleep we weren't getting anyway on the boat (not too bad I don't think, I didn't get sick or anything but it was different, and tough to sleep when you're swaying back and forth, [anyway?] we didn't get much sleep last night and rain all day today, and not much sleep the night before we left we'd better get some tonight or else Paris tomorrow will be really sad, anyway, this was an aside long ago and far away (bet you forgot that, didn't you? so I'll flop back to the main storyline, such as it is, and come back to this one later), and the ceiling (notice how I jump back in right where I left off?) has some bizarre angles in it, and Dave the former owner is leaving posters, and ... It's really great! It does have its drawbacks, but it's gorgeous, and I love it, and it means less roommate worries, both because I'm getting a new one and because we can be alone or together by shutting the door in between the rooms, it does mean I have to go through her room to get to mine, but that shouldn't be a big problem, if it is I think it can be handled, there are several options available on that one, but we'll just wait and see what happens.
