About a mile away,
just above the tops of a few
trees that surround the
stables of the Stanford es-
tate can be seen the slant-
ing adobe roofs of the Uni-
versity buildings. It is
quite a long and dusty
walk over to the "quad,"
as the Inadrangle is called,
but fortunately I have a
wheel and can easily go
to and fro to school. In
fact, I don't know what I'd
do if I did not have a wheel
for I can go from building
to building in quarter the
