I wish to thank Aunt Ruby for her box of paper. This first use of it is pretty good indication of my appreciation.

I must thank you, too, for the two dollars. Out of all the money given to me last month I just have $1.30 left. So by next Friday night when I arrive home I will not have one cent left. Well I must close now, with love to all and a kiss to Mama. Your son,

probably imagine that I spent a most pleasant evening. Paul and I think a great deal of one another, and we spend most of our spare time in each other's company.

He is a good young man, the father being a great friend of Mr Dillis, so you need have no fear that I have selected a poor (that is, bad) companion.
