The buildings are very historic looking reminding me much of the different pictures I have seen of Yale. The campus is covered with immense cypress and pine trees and is a very inviting, shady

My dearest Mamma:
I received your long and loving letter yesterday - and not knowing whether I will have time to answer it this afternoon, at this early hour (before 7 A.M.) have seated myself before my table to reply to it. If I had not been away I would have received the letter Monday.
