art section of the Mechanics' Institute. What a great treat have the connoisseurs missed during all these years! I now see where I have obtained my appreciation for the beautiful in art, where I have acquired my little talent in wielding the pencil. So the maternal side of my home is an artist!

How unfortunate that she has allowed this in-born talent to be dormant for so many years, and has never cultivated this taste for natural imagery! Will

In regards to my photo's: I am sorry that no further improvements can be made upon them. However we shall soon be accustomed to this style of reproducing, and I shall praise the retouching of the photographer up to the skies, if any-one should ever have the audacity to criticize the artistic work of the photo.

Have you found out yet, whether the Vermonter is to be hdl upon the 2nd Friday of March or not?
