Last night in the absence of our president I took the chair and I'm happy to inform you that everything moved as smoothly as a marriage bell (however smooth that may be).

You ask if I have any of papa's nightshirts. Alas I have'nt! Wish I had! I only have two (2) (II), and these are usually in service. However if he needs one of these two (2) (II) I can spare one, for my under shirts are of a most generous length and in night time can supply the place of the nightshirt.
