Claude must have developped quite an "appety" (appetite) for hen fruit, if he can get on the outside of a half dozen eggs at one sitting. He evidently has not the gout or dyspepsia.

In regards to the money: If you can send up the $15 right away, do so, as I am in great need of it. It was through our unfortunate lack of money that I was unable to go to the city this morning.

sity has gone to the city to see the Field day events and hear the debate in Metropolitan Temple to night. I do so hope we will win. We had an enthusiastic rally last night in order to inspire the atheletes and the debaters to do their best to day. Speeches were made by President Jordan and the leading professors. One speaker especially emphasized the fact that in order to win we must not only have capable men, but we must have an enthusiastic Stanford crowd to cheer on our men.
