My dear mother:
The past week has been full of excitement and I doubt if I can relate all the happenings within the narrow confiences of a letter.
First of all: I have been feeling rather sick during the early part of the week. I was troubled with my old friend the stomach-ache. From Monday to Thursday my stomach bothered me, despite medicines and pills and miscillanies. Of course, I couldn't study - although I made serious attempts to. I had an exam. Wednesday and I assure you this did not aid my recovery very materially. But Friday I became better, and Saturday I was on my feet again.
The Sophs. have been unusually vigilant last week, and have treated
