I received a nice long letter from Paul Potter - day before yesterday in which he recites his trials and ambitions and his chances for success. His letter is full of tenderness and unrestrained expressions of his feelings. He rejoices to be in business with a fair start toward success. His hours are long and full of monotony to one who has given up books and learning for ledgers and trial balances. I hope Paul will make a success of his venture.
