A very funny thing occurred here last Monday. The Seniors and Sophs. played baseball, and the president of the Sophomores bet a prominent member of the upper-class his socks that his class would win the game. The wager was taken up and the game was called. It was an exciting encounter. Enthusiasm was at its highest pitch. First one side would make a run, and then the ot her side, going to the bat, would forge ahead of their opponents. It was neck and neck until the last inning when the second-year men made two additional runs and won the game.
