The Sophs. brought him back, and then before this great assemblage and amidst the blushes and suppressed giggles of co-eds, forcibly separated the vainglorious Senior from his hose. After the socks had been removed the Senior tried to run away forgetting in his anxiety to escape the bantering of the crowd, his shoes. Away he rushed over towards the Hall stepping upon rocks and weeds and saying many words which you do not meet with in good dictionaries. After him the Sophs. ran gently and caressingly touching his bare legs with their canes, and making life miserable for the poor fellow. I do not think my Senior friend will ever wager his socks again; if he does, he'd better bring an extra pair along in his pocket to guarantee the payment of the debt.
