An Oregonian remarked in a tone of condescension, "You can tell the Californians on the campus; they're all smiling!! The Oregonians, you know, have web-feet because of the excessive rain falls up there, and the necessity of wading through countless rivulets.
You would have that I was a horsier of the most pronounced type to witness me congratulating farmer students on the down-pour and the prosperity it indicated. So much for the weather.
I shall not be home next Friday. Several of us boys are going to take a trip to Mt. Hamilton Saturday, the weather permitting.
