fied Brother of the Faculty. As soon as Prof. Schmidt had been initiated he was made an officer. But we were still one officer short. The next candidate, when initiated became the sixth officer and the quota was completed.

The last candidate was therefore ushered in attended by the six officers of the ceremony. Well, the poor fellow was a little Freshman, and his ride on the goat was a very disastrous one. But he safely crossed the bounds, and then the last charter member of BZ of Kappa Sigma had been initiated, and Stanford was mother of a new Fraternity.

Commencement week began today and encludes Wednesday I shall return Wed. Shall I bring bedding, sheets etc? Am out of cash and shall probably write for $5 to go home on. Your son in Kappa Sigma.
