Claude has great difficulties to contend against. He must have great courage and make much self sacrifice to change his position in life. At the rate he is going now he will probably be nothing more in life than a very efficient delivery clerk - which requires very little brains & much hard, hard work. Claude probably wishes to occupy some more genteel position in life. This is a worthy ideal. But if Claude is not willing to muster the means he will never attain the end. The drift of all this is simply: Claude must go back to school. If he is desirous of getting into a bank or an office he must have some school training. He must learn to write, he must learn to spell, to use correct grammar and to speak good English. He must learn to think and act quickly. If he can gain these precious acquirements I am sure he can get a position from
