Found a yellow dog the other day who followed one of the boys & myself home. We kept him. He is very fond of his new surroundings & looks up to me as his master. When I go up to College in the morning Willie always wants to go, too. To keep him home I have to tie him up. After I have gone the Chinaman unties him & he lolls around on the lawn or the steps until my return. We call the dog - William, Bill or Willie. This, I might add, is also the name of our poor, downtrodden Freshman. Many amusing complications have arisen through the striking similarity in the names. When one asks where Willie is (meaning Mr. Walling) we always reply "which one? the dog or the Freshman"? It is very funny. I tell you there's nothing like a good dog for genuine comradeship.

Must say good by, now with

Much love -

Fred.
