I wrote last Sunday as usual but instead of placing the letter in my pocket so as to remind me to mail it Monday morning, I placed it in the drawer of my desk, and forgot that I had not sent it off until I ran across the missive last night. I immediately dispatched it this morning, and you have received it by this time.

I have been troubled with a cold in my head of late, but it is not serious. My eyes are feeling much better at present.

Will Claude have his dress-suit made at once?
