Saturday night the men of the University were entertained by the residents of Encina Hall. Our Fraternity was invited in a body and nearly all of us went.

The Glee & Mandolin Clubs entertained us with selections and several boxing bouts were given. In one of the "events" the participants gave us the "real thing" in a slugging match that would do credit to a professional. One of the men struck his adversary a chance blow which made the fellow's nose bleed. This riled him and he started in to do up his opponent without further ado. Said opponent held out his fist and the riled man ran up against it and then the fun began. In a minute, though, the match was over and the two angry contestants wiped their bloody noses, shook hands and retired.
