My darling

I'm sitting here in the library with Schumanns piano concerto
coming over my earphones. Ive already listened this evening to
parts of Bachs B minor mass and Handels Messiah and to all of
Beethovens 5th symphony. Its a particularly lovely way to wind down
the day (a tiering one) and tell you how much I love you. No letter from
you today sweetheart maybe two tomorrow! But in any case I love you
love you much very much indeed and I thoroughly enjoy telling you
so every night as my letters so well as just before I turn the light out
and when I wake up in the morning.

Well the snow turned into rain during the night so
my picture taking hopes were dashed. But it will come again Im
sure. And one consolation was that it was nice and when today
41 F at breakfast time and about 60 in the afternoon (my guess)
I left at 8:30 with MAC and Janette Freel for the rain
to Btuttgort. We went in Beutelsbach to the home of a
German girl who is a very good fellnd of MAC and also Bridge
Mitchelle and she came along with us. After cashing travelers
checks MAry Ann and Etta (my friend) and I spent hours walking
around downtown Stuttgart window shopping buying minor
items etc. I got a good pair of heavy cordway pants for $3.75
and also towels stationery (!) Kleenex shaving cream etc. items
I have long need. We then caught the 3:15 train back to
Beutetsbach where I had a few more errands to seen I got some
washing soap and many postcards and then went to the barber
(Its only been 6 weeks and I look pretty human now- I think you
would consent to being seen in my company and oh how I wish you
had the choice.). I had to wait a long time to get in the chain and wasnt
out until 5:50 with dinner at 6pm. So I started out on the very
