playing all sorts of gambling games with Mr.
Allardice, Mr. Nash, Mr. [illegible], Mr. Young, Dr.
Angel, Dr. Campbell, Mr. Peirce; Mr & Mrs.
Timothy Hopkins beside [Florence?] Park [Shetler?]
Haskell, Marylyn Main, Marie Markham & Mr
Peirce. Then there was a reception, at the Theta
House where the same little coterie met [on?]
at Home & Mrs. Jordons, a dinner at the Zeta House
given by Mrs. Baker, and best of all Christmas
Eve. spent at Mrs. Peirces with the Bachelors -
Mrs. Peirce read from the Bird's Christmas Carrol,
about the [Ruggle's?] family Xmas dinner, Mr.
Campbell sang, we played twenty-one preparat[ory?]
to having a great auction of 10[cent] Xmas gifts
It was great fun & we had mince pie
refreshments - Kittie serving them & I mad[e]
the tea with the help of Mr. Allardice & Mr.
Peirce. The next morning (Christmas) Theodora
& I accepted Mrs. Myricks invitation to come
up here, and we are having such a good time
