short stay here. I have grown very
fond of her. Mrs. Myrick soon
went home too, & Mr. Allardice
and I visited Shreves, Vandershins,
&tc enjoying the Xmas things
so much, especially those with the
Stanford seal on them! I went
out to the Myricks very weary indeed
and had a good night's sleep [illegible]-
quiring immediately after dinner.
& lasting till late in the evening.
Mr. Allardice came out to breakfast
and went to Dr. McKenzie's church
with us where we saw a man
pull of his coat with his overcoat
& left in his shirst sleeves - I
simply died laughing in spite
