1 Light south west wind dry. Sea rough. Bar 29.95. Keeper and asst keepers scrubbed tower stairs, main hall floor, store room and floor & oil room floor.

2 Southerly gale stormy rain. Sea rough. Bar 29.60. General duties for the day.

3 Moderate south west breeze rain. Sea heavy swell. Bar 29.5. Keeper and asst keepers washing tower windows, oil room and windows.

4 Stormy southerly wind half a gale rain. Sea very rough. Bar. Keeper working in his quarters. 1st asst showing 9 visitors in tower, 2nd asst went to Newport for mail.

5 Moderate south wind showers to fog heavy west swell. Bar 30. Keeper and asst keepers polishing all brass work belonging to tower.

6 Light south east wind rain to dense fog heavy west swell. Bar. Keeper working in the tower. 2nd asst washing. 1st asst went to Newport for mail.

7 Light south east wind fog damp. Sea mod. Bar 30.02. Keeper and 1st asst repairing approach to barn north side. 2nd asst working in his quarters.

8 Light south to to north wind dense fog rain. Bar 29.92. 1st and 2nd asst working in there quarters. Keeper went to Newport for mail.

9 Light northerly breeze rain dense fog. Sea rough. Bar 29. General duties for the day + visitors were shown in tower.

10 Lt to fresh northerly breeze rain fog to clear heavy swell. Bar. Keeper working in barn. 1st and 2nd asst showing 8 visitors in the tower.

11 Light north to lt south east wind rain fog. Sea mod. Bar. Keeper working in barn. 1st asst washing. 2nd asst went to Newport for mail.

12 Light south east to east wind fog to clear. Sea mod. Bar 30. Keeper and asst keepers working in there respective quarters.

13 Light south east to east wind clear. Sea moderate. Bar. Keeper left sta. 9 AM. 1st asst and 2nd asst working in their quarters.

14 Light wind clear. Sea moderate. Bar 30.14. 1st asst went to Newport for mail. 2nd asst working in his quarters.

15 Light north east to north west wind clear to fog damp. Sea mod. Bar. Keeper returned to station at 4:00 PM. 1st and 2nd asst working in their respective quarters. Thomas Jones resigned as 2nd asst keeper at this station at close of this day.

16 Light south wind rain fog. Sea moderate. Bar 29. Keeper left station at 10:30 AM. 1st and 2nd asst busy in their quarters. Keeper left station at 10:30 AM.

17 Light east wind clear dry heavy west swell. Bar 30.01. Keeper returned to station at 3:00 PM. Two visitors shown in tower by 1st asst.

18 Light south to northerly breeze clear to fog. Sea moderate swell. 2nd asst Thomas Jones resigned left station for Newport. Keeper went to Newport for mail.

19 Fresh northerly breeze fog at times moderate swell. Bar 30.02. Keeper went to Newport for mail. 1st asst working in shop.

20 Fresh north west breeze clear to fog misty. Sea moderate. Bar. Keeper working in garden and barn. 1st asst showing 11 visitors in the tower.

21 Lt south wind misty damp to clear heavy w swell. Bar 30.12. Keeper & 1st asst put 100 galls mineral oil in butts. 1st asst showing 5 visitors in tower.

22 Lt south wind clear to fog damp heavy west swell. Bar 30.2. 1st asst working in his quarters. Keeper went to Newport for mail and supplies.

23 Lt south wind foggy showers heavy west swell. Bar 30.20. General duties for the day. 1st asst showing visitors in the tower.

24 Light south wind damp to dense fog. Sea moderate. Bar 30. Keeper working in the shop. 1st asst working in his quarters.
