Agust 1st: Calm and foggy damp to light South west wind to dry sea smooth Bar 30.08. Keeper and first asst showing 84 visitors in the tower. 2nd asst went to Newport for mail.

2nd: Lt north wind foggy to clear to dense fog damp sea calm Bar 30.10. Keeper working in his quarters. 1st and 2nd asst working in shop and garden.

3rd: Light north wind fog to clear warm & dry sea calm Bar 30.01. Keeper and 2nd asst showing visitors in tower. 1st asst went to Newport for mail.

4: Light north wind cloudy dry sea smooth Bar 30.04. Keeper and 1st asst showing visitors in tower. 2nd asst went fishing.

5: Light north west wind dry to dense fog damp sea smooth Bar 29.98. 1st and 2nd asst working in there quarters. Keeper went to Newport for mail & supplies.

6: Light south wind dense fog damp sea smooth Bar 29.96. Keeper and asst keepers showing visitors in the tower. General duties for the day.
