please me, sure Mr Thanerny has not forgot to write. I much
condole with 'em for yr loss of their eldest child, yet they have
this great comfort that an angle in Heaven is to be pre
ferd at any time to a child on Earth. Mickey & Molly
Miens aer settled in a Farm in ye Penn, I hope to their Liking
& all their Friend's. The Curiosity, no doubt one many
in this Country, I've none just now about me, but as soon
as I can get any, they shall be sent you according to yr
Directions, yr Expense is none: Little Mickey shall also
have a Squerel, ye ? I come across: all I had this year
I've sent to London, or are now on Board. I should be glad
that you would in yr next give some account of yrself &
Family; how you are in Health? how any children have you
now? What are their Names? I only knjow of Jo, Mick & a girl
whose name I've forgot as also acquint of yr Nancy of my
Mr. Thom's children as also how hi thrives in yr worol. If I
send any curiosity, I shal not forget his Wife....

This year has gone very hard with us; ye Rains have been
excessive & ye Heats excessive wh have caused a great many
Diseases, & to us a great many Rides. Our Hands, are few,
weak & in great Decay. Our Rides are often twice a Day, yet
I’ve often in a Week rid between 50 & 60 Miles a Day, it’s true
our Horses in this Country go so easy that a Ride of 50
Mile, perhaps won’t tire a Mare so much as 20 or 30 with
yr Horses in England, yet they are so frequent that it is
enough to break ye strongest Constitution. I can’t say
but I wish you had one of our Horses to ride for yr own
convenience, they are handy & will go easey ye whole Day.
they make nothing of traveling 60 miles in a day, wh few
Horses in England can perform, for any while. All that is kind t
o Mr Dunn & yr Little ones, whom God preserve. If you’ve heard
