one of our most pleasant privileg
-es that we are allowed to take
our guests who maybe staying with
us to the meetings and each
hostess, in her turn invites as
many or as few of her neigh
bors as she chooses to her meet
-ing and as we cannot consent
to forgo these privileges we find
it best to adhere to the num

inches high; Longwood a beauti
-ful basket of flowers, lettuce,
tomato plants 4 inches, and some
microscopic specimens of cauli

-ing that seeds had sprouted
well in the hot-beds; from Brooke
Grove a head of cabbage, lettuce
and turnips; Alloway lettuce
Rock Spring lettuce pea vine
and cabbage plants; Rockland, beets
and carrots of last year, lettuce
