The meeting was called to order
and the committee on Lily
of the Valley called on for the
result of their further investiagtion.
The decision is that they
are not bulbous rooted. The
committee on Curculis gave as the
best remedy, whale oil soap, 1 lb.
to 5 gals. of water. Spray the trees
S. Hopkins tried it on plum and
apple trees; it can be applied with a
broom or white-wash brush and is
considered better than white wash
for the trunks of trees. The committee
on horseradish reports in favor
of small roots instead crowns.
