Willow Grove

Our society assembled at about the usual
hour, at the home of our new members
Sally Brooke and daughter. The absent were
Longwood, Avalon and Cloverly members, and
our guests were Mary W. Kirk, Sarah Kirk
Mrs. Hattie Davis, Miss Emma Gillet, Fred and
Pattie Stabler, Walter and Carrie Brooke, Roger
and Lou Brooke, Dr Mahlon Kirk, Robert Reese
Mary C. Brooke and daughters and Willy
Maigne.

Our President was a little mortified
at the meagre display of vegetables and
flowers, following the abundant display
at the last meeting and tried to stimulate
us to greater energy, by reminding us that
well filled tables not only made the meeting
more interesting, but it added to our pleasant
feelings, to know that our hostess would
enjoy the fruits and vegetables and her
house would be beautified by the flowers
for days, after.

The Specimens from Rockland were Kohl
Rabi, cucumbers, okra, tomatoes, corn, beets
cymlings, Lima beans, carrots, salsify, sweet
potatoes, cabbage and Flowers, from Sharon
and "The Cedars" flowers; from Olney, apples
corn, tomatoes, peppers and Lima beans; from
Brooke Grove, Cymlins, tomatoes, carrots, pars
nips salsify Lima beans, string beans corn and
