It is the habit of the white lilac to grow
taller and more spindling than the
purple.

The majority say not too early

pumpkin Hubbard squash and
cymlings for distribution. Sarah B. Farquhar
sent seeds of salsify and plain
parsley for distribution

We found the garden in beautiful order
The hot-beds full of splendid strong plants. The long
rows of raspberry and currant bushes, the roses and
flower beds were greatly admired. The lawn had
lost its longest oak, in a gale. Its absence gave
a glimpse of distance which some thought an improve
