Rock Spring mer. at noon 26º

March 29th 1887

Notwithstanding the very cold day
eleven families were represented. The absent were
those from Longwood, Edgewood, Riverside
Avalon Willow Grove and White Hall. The
guests were Carrie Brooke Fanny Darlington
and Mr and Mrs Hobart Hutton.

The specimens, some of which
were frozen on the road, were from
Falling Green at Tomato plant covered with
frost and flowers. From Brooke Grove
parsnips, carrots and a head of cabbage
Hermon, flowers, Rockland, flowers, and
from Ellen Farquhar beautiful pansies

Our host suggested that each
member bring a short interesting article

Eliza Brooke moved that the time
of our meetings should be on the 1st
Tuesday in each month. Motion carried

Falling Green 65 chickens

Our hostess, last year averaged
17 eggs per day, and this year, from
Jan 1st to Mar. 1st 24 per day. The hens
have a warm feed once each day milk
thickened with bran, and breakfast
scraps. At Rockland 50 hens have
died from roup
