time comes.

Dr Farquhar read an article on
"some queer Fungi" which causes the
death of many insects. Francis Stabler read
"Subsoil gardening" Dig a spade deep
without mixing with the surface soil.
Only needs to be done once in 3 or 4 years

1 How far apart plant tea roses in a
bed? 18 inches.

2 The relative of planting Lima beans
in squares or rows? Squares preferred.

3 Can you plant celery in hot beds
for summer use? Yes

4 Which is earlier Beauty of Hebron or
early rose potato? About equal

5 What causes plants in cold frames to
damp off? Want of ventilation.

6 Can strawberry plants be set out
early enough to bear this summer?
It does not pay to allow the plants to
bear the first season when planted in
the spring.

7 Would you buy northern potatoes for
seed when you had your own
raising? It pays to do so.
