Our Society met at the usual hour
with Cora Bentley and Captain and Mrs Strain
for guests. The absent were the members from
Longwood and Willow Grove.
The specimens were nearly equal to
those of the corresponding month last year
notwithstanding, this is called a late spring
From Rockland potatoes from cellar, Tomato
plant 1 foot high cabbage plant 6 in. celery
lettuce asparagus cabbage sprouts and flowers;
from Sharon a rose; from Rock Spring lettuce,
asparagus pea vine 11 in.; from Hermon
pea vine 10 in. parsnips and flowers; from Avalon
flowers; The Cedars, flowers; Alloway, asparagus,
lettuce, potato plants, tomato plant 1 foot
radishes beets, pea vine 6 in. and flowering Peach
Riverside asparagus, lettuce and flowers,
and from Edgewood pea vine 7 in. and flowers
The poultry report was far behind last
years.
