H/5/1887 -4.

When yards have had a winter dress-
-ing of stable manure, how get them clean?
Birch brooms suggested.

Since our last meeting at this place
a beautiful new porch and various inter
-nal improvements have been made. The
conservatory was luxuriant and the
garden remarkably well advanced. The
corn and long rows of vegetables were
admired of all beholders

Ellen Farquhar brought salvia plants
and geranium cuttings for distribution

A member showed a garden apron
made of enamel cloth, which allows
the wearer to kneel without fear of damp
-ness when tired by stooping to weed or
set out or pot plants

Next meeting at Avalon
