spring? Look for them next spring

Dr. Magruder recommends putting
peach stones in a bag of ashes and
burying until they sprout

13 Is there any use in keeping goose
berry bushes after mildew sets in? No

Paris Green was recommended for rose slug
and hot water for rose-bugs. No remedy known
for snap beans when attacked by insects. A visitor
had seen egg plants raised successfully in boxes.

In our walk we found everything to admire
in the gardens. A good promise for
strawberries and all vegetables looked luxuriant
The flower garden and lawn were beautiful
An Evergreen had made a curious growth
which some thought might exhaust it and cause
its death.

After one of the most pleasant of
meetings of our twenty-four summers we
parted with the expectation of meeting
next month at White Hall.
