The minutes were read and approved
1st reader Sarah Hallowell read an article
on rose culture recommeding autumn for
planting, hot water for bugs, helebore for slugs
sulphur for mildew

2nd Reader W. P. Miller read "Longevity
of farmers and country livers."

A remedy for cabbage worm was
given 1 lb of Alum to 5 gals of water.

2 When take cuttings of gooseberries currants & grapes
As soon as the leaves fall, make a trench
put in the cuttings and cover with earth.
In the spring uncover one bud, leave
in the trench until fall or following
spring when transplant to permanent bed.

3 How purify rain water? Fill a bag with
charcoal and put under the spout so
that the rain water shall flow through
it into the cask.
