The Sharon meeting was held at
this place by special request of Ellen Farquhar.
It was very pleasant to meet here once more
owing to illness our President could not be
with us, which was a great drawback to our
enjoyment and we wandered around to our
enjoyment and we wandered around like sheep
without a shepherd until Roger Farquhar
consented to conduct the meeting. It was
opened by reading a letter from our President
expressing his sorrow at not being with us, and
informing us that the Exhibition had been
a success and he had received numberous
letters reporting it, interesting and useful. The
absent members were those from Longwood
Olney, White Hall, Cloverley, Avalon and Sharon
Tho' this was the Sharon meeting, the family
absented themselves from consideration for their
friends, having had scarlet fever in the family
within a few months. Our guest were
Mrs. Warfield, Mrs. Tyson and daughters, Estelle
and Dora Moore, Lucy and Ellen Stabler.
Deborah Reese, Carrie L. Brooke, Sue Thomas
Janie Smith Annie Brooke Kirk. Bessie Miller
amd Lizzie Stabler.

The minutes of the last meeting were
read and some corrections made.

The last meeting at this was
held Sept 7th 1875. Since then 13 years
have flown by! Horticulturally, the place
has improved vastly in that time. Socially
