treat plants after potting for winter to keep
them from wilting or losing their leaves? Water
thoroughly and shade for a few days. One
of our members succeeds best by setting the
pots in tubs of water and leaving all night
a plan recommended to her by Gilpin Stabler

In our walk in the garden, we saw
many new and beautiful plants, several of
them vines of luxuriant growth. Many
plants were potted ready for the house & the
geraniums and verbena beds were blooming
as tho' no frost was near. The lawn
has been improved by taking out superfluous
trees, leveling, enriching and sowing
with grass until a beautiful sward is
the result.

Hoping to meet at Edgewood in the
Spring we close for this year.
