success last year. The committee on
"bees and grapes reported their belief
as the results of inquires, that honey
bees do not puncture the grapes but
avail themselves of the openings mad by
wasps and other insects which are provided
by nature with implements of
a more destructive character than those
possessed by the bees. The proposition
that we should have an essay prepared
for each meeting was after discussion
referred to a time in the indefinite
future when our members shall
be either more energetic, or less fully
occupied than at present . it was ascertained
that Arbor Day had been observed
at Rockland, Norwood, Hermon,
Stanmore, Edgewood, Riverside,
Sharon, Falling Green, and White Hall
The vacancy caused by the resignation
of Olney was filled by the election of
the Woodburn family
