Edgewood Aug. 24th in place of Sept

The Horticultural met at Edgewood
Thursday Aug 24th as its usual day
would be inconvenient on account of
the County Fair. From a variety of
reasons there were no representatives
present from Fair Hill, Falling Green, Longwood,
Norwood, Stanmore, Riverton
Rock Spring, Riverside, Tanglewood and
Woodburn. Our guests were Charles
Elizabeth and Mariana Stabler, Harriet
Kirk, Pattie and Rose Stabler, John and
Augusta Needles, Mary Osborne Carrie
Gover, Asa Newton and Mortimer Stabler
Amy and Lawrence Miller Dr Young
Charles M. Stabler and Dr Stone.

The Exhibits were from
Rockland cabbage, tomatoes, corn, beans
quinces, potatoes and flowers.
Brooke Grove, water melon, canteleupe
corn, Lima beans, and flowers.
The Cedars, tomatoes, eggplant and flowers
Hermon, flowers
Cloverley, carrots, parsnips, salsify,
Lima beans, tomatoes, cabbage, watermelon
canteleupe and flowers.
