of potatoes can be sprayed in half a day

It is a good plan for several neighbors
to join in buying a sprayer; one
being enough for three or four families.

The subject of striped bugs on melon
vines was introduced; some try wrapping
the stems of the plants in paper; one tried
Mosquito net covers; another paper covers
kept in place by stones, another prefers
raising the plants in cans or sods under
glass and Setting out after the danger
is past, some say sand quarter of
an inch in depth around the plant
is good. Tramping the ground is
