6 What do now with an asparagus
bed planted in the spring? When
the tops die cut them off and
put on six or eight inches of
manure and work every
time you work the rest of the
garden.

7 Will it be safe to spade a rose
bed this fall? Work shallow if
at all in the fall and mulch.
