be thinned? Yes, to two or three inches
Some who were very successful last
year, planted in trenches six inches
deep covered with an inch of soil
and gradually filled up as they
grew - leaving a little depression
for greater collection of water

13 Is it too soon to plant melon seeds
in sods or cans under glass?
The first of May will be soon enough

Mary Gilpin told of a Chrysanthemum
show she saw in Denver in
November: the plants were 8 or 9 feet
