(11th) Do we pay as much attention to the chrysanthemum
as it merits? Perhaps not. Though Mary Magruder
sold more chrysanthemums than roses this spring.

It was proposed that we appoint a committee at
the Oct meeting to arrange a chrysanthemum show.

A member asks if we have noticed the fashion of
a few people in the Horticultural papers of saying
"mums"! Several have noticed it and were indignant
but said what better could you expect when we have
the example of those who say bike, phone. We found
the gardens in order and thrifty.

The next meeting at the Cedars.
